Publication of the 2009/10 SOCA Annual Report

20 July 2010

SOCA's Annual Report and Accounts for the financial year 2009/10 is published today (Tuesday 20th July 2010).

The report provides details of SOCA's performance during 2009/10 including:

  • performance over the year in respect of drugs, organised immigration crime, fraud, cyber-crime, firearms and against criminals and their business;
  • how SOCA will build on this to meet the challenges of the future; and
  • progress against SOCA' strategic imperatives to increase knowledge and understanding of serious organised crime, tackle criminal finances, increase the risk to serious organised criminals operating in the UK, collaborate with partners and develop SOCA's ability to make a difference.

The report demonstrates how SOCA's approach is based around:

  • Improving the UK's understanding of serious organised crime;
  • preventing organised criminals from benefiting from the proceeds of crime; and
  • focussing on the disruption of criminal markets that affect the UK, not just on individual crime.

The report is available to download from the SOCA library.

Hard copies are available to buy from The Stationery Office.
