Dutch arrests prevent gangland murder

Amsterdam Police, assisted by officers from SOCA, arrested six UK nationals earlier this month who are believed to be involved in the  illegal supply of firearms.

Machine guns seized by Amsterdam policeThe six men, aged between 37 and 65, were arrested following operations in Amsterdam on 10th June. A number of properties were searched and weapons including machine guns with silencers and a significant quantity of ammunition were recovered.

Dutch police have commented that the arrests are likely to have prevented one or more gangland executions.

Details of those arrested have not been released by the Dutch authorities at this time.
