Cannabis worth £11.5million seized in East London

SOCA officers raided a yard in the Chadwell Heath area of London on Thursday 17th December and seized what has now been estimated to total 4 tonnes of cannabis. Sold on  UK streets the huge haul would have been worth more than £11.5million.

The three tonnes of herbal cannabis and one tonne of cannabis resin were concealed in the base of a cargo container, hidden inside industrial packaging.

Five men, aged between 38 and 59, have been charged and remanded in custody pending further enquiries.
