Submitting a chemical suspicious activity report (CSAR)

When to submit a CSAR to SOCA

Any circumstances such as unusual orders or transactions which suggest that scheduled substances might be diverted to illegal manufacture must be reported to the authorities. Should I submit a CSAR to SOCA?

SOCA's preferred method for reports to be submitted is electronically via email using the Chemical Suspicious Activity Report Form (71.5 kB DOC) Please call 0207 238 2426 for the current email address. This completed form will help SOCA best evaluate the information.

Information can also be sent by fax to 0207 238 2828.

SOCA Acknowledgement of Receipt

SOCA CCT will acknowledge receipt of individual CSARs. In some instances a follow-up clarification call or email may be made to the reporter.

SOCA Source Confidentiality

Confidentiality is something that SOCA takes seriously and as such we are keen to create an environment within which the reporters and SOCA can communicate securely. If you have any concerns regarding confidentiality please contact the SOCA Chemical Control Team on 0207 238 2426.
