Not all positions require specialist background or experience. We look at the personal qualities required for a job and prospective candidates need to demonstrate a selection of the required competencies as specified in the role profile. However, more specialist positions may specify the need for a particular background or experience.
The relevant competencies are outlined in SOCA’s Personal Qualities Framework. This framework encompasses: communication, teamwork and partnership, respect, problem solving, personal accountability, strategic thinking, people management, negotiating and influencing, innovation and change.
