National Crime Agency

In June 2010, the Home Secretary announced the creation of a new National Crime Agency which will become operational in 2013.

The NCA will be a crime fighting organisation comprising a number of distinct operational commands. The Organised Crime Command will build on the best of SOCA’s current capacity, capability, powers and reach, to tackle organised crime groups, whether they operate locally, across the country or across international borders.
